Ruination: City of Dust
Identity and collateral design for a multiplayer game that used the landscape of Minneapolis as a game board.
Contemporary environmental science informed the sci-fi narrative, taking place 300 years in the future, after Minneapolis has become a ruined wasteland. Elements of art intertwined with physical and mental challenges throughout the game. Using bicycles as transportation, players traveled to specific points around Lake Nokomis, Hiawatha and Minnehaha Creek to discover clues and compete for answers.
Design deliverables included a title graphic, icon system, map of the game “board,” title stencils, and other miscellaneous collateral promoting the game.
